How coaching works

The MCA method creates consistency across programs and locations. Coaches use the same development language, benchmark structure and progression framework, then adapt session detail to the capability, role and needs of each group.

Each cohort has a named lead coach and may also work with specialist or assistant coaches. MCA may change a coach because of illness, availability or operational need. When that happens, MCA will use a suitably qualified replacement and communicate any material changes to families as early as practical.

MCA places players by assessment into Foundation, Intermediate or Elite. These are coaching levels, not age bands, and the program is for players aged 12 to 18. MCA does not feed into any state or national pathway.
