Program Structure

How is the MCA pathway structured?

MCA Academy is one connected offer with three assessed progression stages: Foundation, Intermediate and Elite.

What are the MCA Academy stages?

Foundation, Intermediate and Elite describe development stages within MCA Academy. MCA considers each player’s readiness when recommending a starting stage; the stage names do not promise representative selection or a guaranteed pathway.

How is a player's starting stage decided?

MCA assesses the player's skills, game understanding, physical readiness, training history and goals, establishes a benchmark and recommends the stage that provides the right challenge.

Can a player progress between Academy stages?

Progression depends on a player’s development and readiness. Ask MCA how assessment and stage progression would work for your player; placement in a later stage is not guaranteed.

Does every Melbourne intake offer every Academy stage?

Not necessarily. Stage and group places are subject to assessment and availability. Enquire with MCA about the options for a particular intake.

What does Melbourne Spring Academy cost?

Pay in full: A$1,349. Stripe tax setting: inclusive. One off payment of $1,349

Is there a payment plan for Melbourne Spring Academy?

What do other Melbourne programs cost?

Please enquire with MCA about fees and availability for other Melbourne programs, including Summer, Winter and Annual. No fees for those programs are confirmed here.

Are Bengaluru and San Francisco programs open?

Player registrations for Bengaluru and San Francisco are not yet open. Clubs interested in working with MCA can send an enquiry through the club enquiry page.
