• Selection and pathways

  MCA is a player-development program designed to help young cricketers improve their skills, game understanding, physical capabilities and mindset through structured coaching and visible progress.

  Selection for representative, state and national teams is managed separately by the relevant cricket associations and selectors. Participation in MCA does not provide automatic entry or preferential consideration. For players with representative ambitions, MCA can help them develop the capabilities and confidence needed to pursue opportunities through their local cricket pathway.

• Player data

  MCA collects the information required to administer the program, support safe participation and help players understand their development and progress.

  Personal information and player-development data are handled in accordance with MCA’s Privacy Policy and the consent choices provided during enrolment. MCA’s player-development data is not provided to Cricket Victoria for representative selection. Any information required to administer or deliver the program is managed as outlined in MCA’s privacy and consent information.

• Elite placement

  Elite is an advanced coaching level within MCA’s player-development program. It describes the coaching environment best suited to a player’s current capabilities and development needs.

  Placement is determined through MCA’s player-assessment process and may change as the player progresses. Elite placement does not constitute selection for a representative team or Cricket Victoria squad, nor does it guarantee or indicate future state or national selection.
